While this feature isn’t as immediately exciting as the first-person mode or the new careers, for those who love to build the homes of their dreams, this is fantastic news. A terrain manipulation tool is also being added and this allows players to build things on top of hills, letting Sims walk up a flight of stairs to get to the front door. Somehow, that’s not everything that’s being added in this upcoming update. The other career path being added is Style Influencer which includes jobs such as Trend Setter and Stylist. Players will be able to register a custom career by selecting “Register with Ministry of Labor” on their phones and filling in the details, though there are no specific actions or progressions associated with custom careers. One of these is the self-employed career path, which is something else that has been at the top of fans’ wishlists. The patch also introduces two new careers. It’s still a cool feature to have and it’s something that fans have been asking for for a while, but it isn’t a fully immersive experience by any means. For interactions like these, the game will “bump” players out of the first-person view. For example, the game will not let players go through doors in first-person mode, nor will they be able to jump in the pond. Though, there are some limitations to the first-person mode, as explained by YouTuber The Sim Supply in the video above. This means that many tasks in the game, including social interactions, walking, swimming, ice skating, doing housework will all be first-person if players so choose. The most significant feature added in the update is the first-person mode, which will allow players to control a sim from a first-person viewpoint. The Sims 4 development team has confirmed that a major new patch will be released on November 13. The Sims 4 Free Update: First-Person Mode, New Careers, and Terrain Tools The Sims 4 Get Famous expansion pack also releases on Windows PC and Mac in November. The update isn’t the only significant piece of Sims 4 DLC headed to the game this month. The patch will also introduce the self-employed career path, something that fans have been asking the development team to add for quite some time. The Sims 4 will be adding a first-person mode in a free update in the game.
